"Get into the Know"
The Universal Mind Principle
The principle of a universal mind lies at the core of our philosophy. Every intelligent being has a mind. Sure, we have a body but it is
our mind that makes us so special. We could in fact remove our limbs but as long as we had a mind we would still exist. Our mind is the real I of us, and it is through this mind we exist. In fact our main teaching revolves around the notion that all of existence occurs within mind, not just our individualize life but all of existence, including the existence of our universe.
A famous philosopher once asked: "if we light a candle and walked out of the room, does it still burn?" By this he was trying to highlight that it takes a mind to confirm something's existence. Existence depends on mind because all of existence occurs within mind. We can know of the existence of our universe only because we have a mind and we can manipulate creation only because we have a mind. Mind is the true cause behind effect and therefor all things are mental.
If there is one thing we all have in common it is that we are born ignorant; devoid of any intimate knowledge. From our very first waking moment we look out on the world with wonder. We ask ourselves: Why am I here? What is the point to life? Where did everything come from? Science has propelled mankind into
unprecedented levels of sophistication, and yet despite this, the things we yearn for most are the answers to a few basic questions. Regardless of how much wealth, fame or academic achievement we attain, the answer to these questions will plague us for the rest of our lives. The fact that you have took the time from your busy life to read this document is tantamount to this fact.
It is very easy to become caught up in our individuality. It is very easy to see others as separate and apart from ourselves, but the more knowledge we gain the more we begin to realize that we are not so different deep down. In fact we begin to realize that we share a very strong common bond. What makes one different to another is their perception on life. Deep down we have the same basic needs and we seek answers to the same basic questions.
Could it be that we are the same being only multiplied in number?
Initially, this may seem a strange way of thinking of ourselves but if we entertain it for just a moment we will see that is not as bizarre as first thought. Life is interconnected and is really one giant life form that is continually expanding, adapting, and evolving in complexity.
The binding force of all life is: consciousness. Each life form possesses various degrees of self consciousness and in this world we all share the need to survive and re-produce. On a basic level all of life share the same common needs and desires. What then makes us perceive we are separate beings as opposed to the same thing?
On the surface we can all appear to be so different. I am not just referring to our visual appearance, although this can act as a barrier, I am referring to the way we behave and the way we treat others. On the human scene in particular it is our behavior that alienates us from others not so much how we look. There is nothing more uplifting in meeting a like thinking mind. The harmony and peace that is generated by our feelings of oneness with another is an experience we encounter rarely, but when it happens its effects can be immense. This is because on a fundamental level we are all
seeking oneness - a kind of reconnection to the realisation that all life is one. In attaining oneness the barriers of individuality are reduced and our sense of self is merged into one another as two (or more) become one. We can all relate to this on some level, however, imagine what would happen if we all had the same understanding and thus behaved and responded to situations in a similar manner. Would we not all be in a state of oneness? Would we not all be like thinking minds? Would we not all be the same state of being only multiplied in number? More importantly, could such a thing ever happen?
The way we behave and respond to situations is based on what we believe to be true.
At this point in mankind's evolution we are not at the stage when we believe the same things, and because of this, we do not always behave the same way, thus we appear outwardly different. Never before have we had such freedom of thought, but subsequently, never before have we been so confused as to what to believe. This lack of common identity increases our sense of separation/alienation and this encourages us to think of ourselves as unique and different, when in fact we are not.
We are all seeking knowledge about the same things and if we could all see the same underlining truth we would all realise our shared oneness with all existence. If we see ourselves as a mind instead of a physical identity, a mind that is engaged in seeking the same answers to the same questions as everyone else, we will begin to see that we share the same common mission. The only thing different between one mind and another is its contents, the beliefs and ideas it contains. It is important to recognise that although a mind can contain distinct beliefs, a mind is in many respects independent of these beliefs. For this reason it is possible for two minds to contain very different beliefs but it is also possible for two minds to contain identical beliefs. A mind is unlimited in content.
We often take thought for granted but if we examine thought we will see that thought is actually universal and independent of individuality. We may invent many different languages to convey
our thoughts to others, but these thoughts are independent of language. Thought is universal because it is part of a Universal Mind, and because of this, we and every other species are capable of using these thoughts to build up an understanding of what life is all about. Think of it, your cat or dog is using the same thoughts as you, only we have a greater ability to access a greater complexity of thought. On a fundamental level we are all minds engaged in thoughtful activity. We are in fact the same being only at different stages of comprehension.
So here we arrive at the one mind principle. The I of us is not our body but our mind. We are all searching for the same things, we are all trying to develop an innate understanding of existence and therefore we are all trying to achieve the same state of mind. Think of it this way, when we finally discover the answers to all our
questions, and it is beginning to happen, we will in fact become identical to one another in terms of mind content (of course this requires we are all educated to the same levels). We will behave the same way and react to situations in the same manner because how we react is dependent upon what we know and believe to be true. When this happens the many will become one again; the same state of being appearing in multiple form but in a state of oneness not separation. This is more than a possibility, it is predestined to happen.
We Are Evolving into the Universal Mind.
We are all engaged in a evolutionary process that is producing an all-knowing being, a being that can achieve the very heights of understanding, a state of being known as Universal Mind Consciousness. Our evolution has taken us from a period of separation to a point of unification, although we are far from the end of our journey. We are caught up in an evolutionary process that is predestined to end in a predetermined manner.

Mark, I'm having problems with my computer when I visit your site. This also happens sometimes while watching videos on other pages. Is there a way to inexpensively fix this "high CPU usage". I sometimes also get the message "high memory usage" even though I added memory a few months ago. It seems that I can visit your site, but am afraid to play the videos now as I don't want to crash.
My computer is 7 or 8 years old.
Thanks for any advice. I love KIK (except the religion part). I am an agnostic. Joni :)
